Minute to Win It - Valentine's Edition
I wanted to share the fun we have been having this week while playing Minute to Win It - VALENTINE'S EDITION. After the students worked hard on all of their speech goals, they earned a chance to battle it out in one of our two different Minute to Win It games.
First, we did lots of practice using our Valentine's Day slingshot game. Click HERE!
In this first game, the students had to sift through rice to find conversation hearts. The challenge was they had to do this with tweezers and with one hand behind their back.
Later in the week, we play Heart-a-Stack by stacking as many conversation hearts as we could in one minute.

SPOT - Winter Clothes On
I wanted to share some of the fun activities that we worked on this past week in our SPOT group!
At station 1, we practiced buttoning with Mrs. Tess using mittens and putting winter clothes on while practicing our zipping and dressing skills.
At the last station, the students worked on requesting different clothing to make a craft. They were able to dress themselves for winter by putting these clothes on their body. We worked on expanding our utterances by saying "article of clothes + on + me."

Minute to Win It Week - Winter Edition
Minute to Win It week is always one of my favorite. These are a couple of the games we were able to play this week after working on our speech goals.
This game was a snowball shoveling race. The students used a spoon to shovel as much snow (cotton balls) into their bucket in a minute.
Our second game was a snowman drawing competition on a plate as they followed directions. To make it more challenging, the students had to draw with the plate on their head. We had some very interesting snowmen! Below is a copy of the directions, if you want to try this game at home.
Below is the Minute to Win It timer we used for you to play at home!
